EYELASH EXTENSIONS

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Arrive with eyes free of makeup, this means less clean up and more time for lash application. Please make sure to remove all makeup before your appointment with an oil-free makeup remover for optimal bonding. It would be best to discontinue the use of mascara a few days before your appointment. Mascara leaves a residue on your lashes that will stop the glue from bonding & cause your extensions to fall off prematurely.

DO NOT-

  1. drink caffeine or other highly caffeinated drinks before your appointment (if at all possible)
  2. chew gum during your appointment
  3. curl your lashes before your appointment
  4. wear contact lenses to your appointment if you have sensitive eyes. (please wear glasses).

DO-

  1. keep talking to a minimum during application, your eyes flutter & move which slows the stylist down.
  2. let your stylist know if the light or eye pads are bothering you. Adjustments can be made to keep you comfortable.
  3. silence your phone

AFTERCARE FOR EYELASH EXTENSIONS

PLEASE AVOID-

  1. exposure to heat (steam, sauna, hot yoga)
  2. friction, rubbing, pulling on your lashes
  3. application of eye & eyelash cosmetics
  4. all oil-based products
  5. sleeping on your face/lashes
  6. receiving irritating eye-area treatments (such as strong chemical peels, skin-resurfacing procedures, or laser treatments.)

Make sure to cleanse your lashes daily using an oil-free cleanser. Avoiding cleansing will cause a buildup of oils & bacteria, this can cause a breakdown of the glue & a buildup of potentially harmful bacteria.

Although the lash adhesive has cured by now, persistent exposure to moisture, steam, heat, incompatible cosmetics, & friction from rubbing or sleeping may impact the durability of the adhesive bond. Therefore excessive exposure to heat, steam, sauna, and friction should be avoided entirely.

For the best retention please avoid-

  1. all products in your skincare and makeup routine that are waterproof and/or contain mineral oil & propylene glycol

(double check your eye creams, cleansers, & serums)

  1. mechanical lash curlers
  2. waterproof mascara
  3. touching and/or pulling your lashes & extensions
  4. sleeping on your face/lashes
  5. rubbing your eyes

KOREAN LASH LIFT

DAY OF YOUR LASH LIFT-

  1. avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 4 hours.
  2. skip mascara for the rest of the day.
  3. try not to sleep on your face the first night.
  4. throughout the day (and before bed), make sure your lashes aren't bent, twisted, or pushed out of shape.
  5. avoid hot steam and saunas for the next 2–3 days.

MAINTENANCE AND DAILY HABITS-

  1. mascara is okay after the first 24 hours.
  2. when removing makeup, be gentle. Use up-and-down motions rather than side-to-side. Friction is the main cause of lash breakage.
  3. if you sleep on your face or side, you may wake up with lashes looking a little crimped (similar to bedhead). Simply rinse your face and lashes in the morning and brush them back into place.
  4. most lash damage comes from friction (rubbing your eyes, sleeping directly on your lashes), so handle them gently.

WHEN TO COME BACK-

  1. wait 6–10 weeks before your next lash lift, or until about 80% of the lashes have grown out and look straight. This timing helps prevent overprocessing and damage.
  2. around the 4–6 week mark, you may notice an awkward phase where some lashes are lifted and others are straight. This is completely normal.
